How to override application.properties in jhipster
Jhipster uses the application.properties and application.yml files to store properties.
I understand that in our jhipster app we can store the properties in the database using database.yml. However, as my app is using the ORM features of jhipster, I wanted to override the application.properties and application.yml files with in memory properties.
Does anybody know the location of these files in a jhipster generated app and how can I override these properties?

NHibernate Fetch Strategies, when to use which?
With the introduction of NHibernate’s fetching strategies, I’m a little confused as to when to use which.
Say, I have a simple object that looks like this:

I use fetch=”join” so that I can join on a one-to-many relationship (with the child class being “PersonModels”).
My question is: What is the difference between:
Fetch=”Eager”
Fetch=”Lazy”
Fetch=”Strict”
Fetch=”Refresh”
Fetch=”Refresh and lazy”
Fetch=”Select”
I’m not sure what the difference is between these, and where to use what. If I had a parent Person object and some children I can’t do a select because its not stored in the object, so that’s not a valid use.
Does it make sense to do a select, loading all the children but only lazily loading them?

Fetch=”Select” will cause the collection to be loaded into a DataReader. Each element will only be loaded lazily when accessed. It doesn’t make sense for a parent/child relationship as the objects aren’t stored in the same class.
Fetch=”Eager” loads the collection eagerly into memory. This means it will read the collection into memory before accessing it. It doesn’t make sense for a parent/child relationship as the objects aren’t stored in the same class.
Fetch=”Lazy” will load the collection lazily into memory. This means it will load the collection into memory before accessing it. It makes sense to use if you are using parent/child relationships as both the parent and the child are storing the relationship in the same class.
Fetch=”Strict” doesn’t effect the way the collection is loaded.
Fetch=”Refresh” is the equivalent of Fetch=”Eager” + Refresh. It will load the collection into memory.
