The Adjustment Layers function and Layer Mask function keep you from making mistakes by making use of the Layer Mask function. Often times, a photo can either be a good version of a picture or a tedious one. And you decide which one is the right one by applying a blending mode or viewing the color channel area of the image when making your final adjustments.

When it comes to photo editing, the Eraser tool is quite useful. You can use the Brush tool to paint out a particular area you don’t want or use the Eraser tool without a definite shape to fill up with your image. Use the Content Aware tool to remove unwanted elements without damaging or blurring other areas.

I have mentioned Lightroom before. It’s Living Social’s Best of the Year choice, and it’s probably the most popular photo app most of us have on our phones. It’s often described as a digital darkroom, but recent versions have allowed you to process your photos with a greater degree of precision. There are times when Instagram, yet another great app for capturing and sharing photos, simply isn’t good enough. I can edit and process images in Photoshop Elements, but I find Lightroom faster, with more options, and better overall.
